Adrian D. Perea, 75, a beloved member of his family and community, was born in Trinidad on January 19, 1951, and passed away on October 15, 2026, in Thornton, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Cleo Perea; his brothers, John (Lorie) Perea, Anthony Perea, and Joseph Perea; his sisters, Frances (Luis) Cortez, Geraldine Bernal, and Anna Mae Torres; his sisters-in-law, Mona Perea and Abbie Perea; and his brothers-in-law, Luther Archuleta and Leonard Vasquez. He is survived by his brothers, Richard Perea, Leroy (Anna) Perea, and Arthur Perea; his sisters, Linda Archuleta and Anna Marie Vasquez; the surviving spouses of his deceased siblings, Bernadette Perea, Gilbert Torres, and Sandra Perea; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Adrian graduated from Trinidad State Junior College with an Associate of Arts degree and later attended the University of Colorado. He went on to build a career with the United States Postal Service, serving as both a letter carrier and a union representative until his retirement.
After retiring, Adrian returned to his beloved hometown of Trinidad, a place that remained close to his heart throughout his life. There, he lovingly cared for his mother and enjoyed fishing at many of his favorite spots. Adrian was also deeply involved in his church community, where he worshiped the Lord and generously gave his time and physical labor to help care for the church building and property. He will be remembered for the time he shared with family and friends and for the lasting memories he leaves with those who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at noon on November 7, 2026, at Legacy Christian Church, 9200 Hoffman Way, Thornton, Colorado 80229. A reception will immediately follow.
