Arthur B. Guara

Arthur B. Guara, age 90, passed away at the Trinidad

Rehab and Healthcare Center on October 3, 2026. He was

born on April 7, 1936, on the family ranch in Ocate, New

Mexico to David and Ester Guara. He met the love of his life,

Lily Mae married and had three children. He worked various

ranch jobs and retired from Summit Brick in 1995. Arthur

was always a cowboy at heart and loved riding his horse

Donna Que. Above all, he was a devoted family man.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lily Mae, daughter

Julie Ann, his parents, his brothers Sammy and Gilbert

Guara, and sister Betty Griego.

He is survived by his son Larry (Cathi) Guara, his daughter

Laura (Tim) Merchant, his grandson Keythur Merchant, his

granddaughter Jillian (Rico) Garcia, and three great

granddaughters Lilyana, Irelyn, and Lyla, and his sister Mary

Pacheco, and brother Leroy Guara, and sister Marie Guara,

sisters in law Barbara Grosso, Pat Vigil, Mary Alice Guara, as

well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers are Keythur Merchant, Rico Garcia, Brock

Wilson, Jayden Lamorie, Maria Martinez, and Jeremy

Colangelo. Honorary Pallbearers are Buddy Curro, Dave

Curro, John Curro, Jonathan Lamorie, Zander Lamorie, and

Josh Colangelo.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026

from 3:00pm- 6:00pm at the Comi Funeral Home. Funeral

services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at

10:00 am at the Comi Funeral Home.
