Mark Cleland Shull passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on August 13, 2026. He was born on February 16, 1952, in New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, numerous siblings, and nephew Brian Coulter. He is survived by his daughters Jeni (Bret) Jackson, Kelly (Valerie Morabito) Shull, Amber (David Guy) Jackson, granddaughters Taylor Shull and Bella Jackson, two grandsons, brothers Jeff and Gerry Shull, and numerous other family and friends.
Mark grew up on the Delaware River in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He was the son of a pharmacist with a large family. He was a devout Episcopalian in his youth and was very active in the Church. He also enjoyed theatre and choir. After graduating from high school, he left Pennsylvania and traveled across the USA and Canada with his good friend Tony Pinto. Mark settled in Denver, Colorado, and found the love of his life, Linda. They married and had three daughters. Mark worked for many years on the railroad, starting as a track crew member and working all the way up to Engineer. He then moved on to a successful real estate career. Mark eventually went back to college, earning an associate's degree in civil engineering. He found a creative outlet in landscaping and enjoyed that for many years. He eventually found a job at the USDA and the BLM, working there until he retired. Mark and the girls lost Linda in 2019.
Mark had many talents, including musical talents, playing many instruments, mainly guitar, writing music, and singing. He loved creating and improving things such as making stained glass, building furniture, and renovating the houses they lived in. Mark was an excellent handyman and could fix anything. Mark was a free spirit who loved to travel and was always up for an adventure. Mark, with his sense of humor and kind nature, met friends everywhere he went.
The celebration of life will be held at Sister Blandina Park, located at 225 N. Commercial Street, Trinidad, Colorado 81082, on Saturday, August 22nd at 11 am
