NEIL BROOK MILLER, age73, long-time resident of Trinidad, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Born in Longview, Washington, he was the son of the late Jessie J. Miller and Mary Loise (White) Miller and the husband of Lori Miller.

Niel graduated from Camden High School in San Jose, California in 1971. Neil took early retirement from the Trinidad post office, which enabled him to enjoy the things he loved. His family, his art, gardening, music of every kind, books and his fur babies.

He is survived by Lori (Desarle) Miller and fur baby JJ, his stepson Dana Desarle (Rochelle, Harrison and Davis) of Las Vegas and Rino, Nevada. His brother Michael Vance (Rosa) Miller of Ohio, Sister Colleen (Mike) Barry of Colorado, Nieces and Nephews, Kevin, Tracy, Kameron, Heather, Josh, Felix, Ian and 17 cousins. Cousin, Tony Perretti and Janet DiDonna. Anthony (Theresa) Squiterri of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joseph (Lori) Squiterri and family of Statin Island, New York, Nicole Perretti (Dove) of New Smyrna, Florida. Godchildren, Kristina Lizardy Hajbi (Ali), Robert Lizardy, Mandy Geraldi Visconti (Mark), Sarah Jane Geraldi Rivas (Robbie). Special friends: Justin and Jessica McCorkle, Jim and Roxanne Hagen, Mike and Edie Musselwhite, Phyllis Donovan, Kathy Stiles and Bronco, Raggio, Merlin and Maryon Hatter, Jodi and Susan Hoffpaur, EVERYONE AT PALS, Pat and Linda Vance, Jim and Bonnie Bostrom, Rachale Brown, Lindsey and Dianna Tucker, Esi Pexton.

He was pre-deceased by his sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Bob Turner. Brother and sister-in-law Cathy Miller, Aunt B.J., Uncle John, Aunt Lizzie, Uncle Ed, and Cousin Donna.

Niel will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind and gentle soul. He will be missed and loved and remembered forever. “THE MAILMAN STOPPED BY AND STAYED FOR 33 YEARS…PARCEL POST”

At his request, there will be no services. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
