Katherine Sandoval, age 90, of Trinidad Colorado, passed
away peacefully on March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Katherine was born on October 1, 1935, in Clayton, NM to her
father Steve Garcia and her mother Lila (Dominguez) Garcia. She grew up in
Clayton, NM and spent the rest of her life in Trinidad.
Katherine worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the
Trinidad Nursing home. She touched many lives of the people she worked with and
the residents that she cared for.
Katherine is survived by former husband Carmen Sandoval, her
sons Robert Sandoval and his wife Mindy Lewis, Richard Sandoval and his
wife Catherine (Wolman) Sandoval, granddaughter Corey Sandoval Groso,
granddaughter Darla Sandoval and her son Justin Sandoval and family, Deidra
Sandoval and her son Andrew Sandoval. Grandson
Matthew Sandoval and his children Robert Sandoval, Elena Sandoval, Isabel
Sandoval, David Sandoval.
Katherine was preceded in death by her father and mother,
her brother Wilfred Garcia, her son Andrew Sandoval and her daughter Pamela
Sandoval.
A memorial service will be held at Comi Funeral Home Chapel,
1804 E Main Street, Trinidad, CO on Thursday April 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Katherine will be missed, but she will always remain in our
hearts.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to do something nice
for someone.
